Venus Williams, who’s been known for keeping her personal life private, has let us all in on one of the biggest occasions of her life (right up there with her Grand Slams and Olympic Gold!). She and her newlywed husband, Andrea Petri, just had a second fairy-tale wedding celebration in Florida.
The multi-day celebration included yacht rides, a pool party, a boudoir-themed bridal shower, a sports day and plenty of time with family from across the globe. “It was the Italians and the Americans all together,” Williams gushed in an interview with Vogue, sharing that 25 of Preti’s family had come from Italy to join in on the festivities. Stunning photos showcase the tennis legend in a custom bridal shower look by Kim Kassas Couture, along with a dazzling array of wedding outfits for an intimate courthouse ceremony at City Hall at sunrise, a dinner reception, and more.
This is the couple’s second ceremony. In September, they tied the knot in Ischia, a volcanic island located in the Tyrrhenian Sea in Southern Italy. Her new husband is of Italian heritage.
When the tennis great announced her engagement to the actor-producer after winning the women’s singles match at the Mubadala Citi DC Open on July 22, we were officially let in on this love affair as she low-key announced their union plans in a post-match interview. “My fiancé is here, and he really encouraged me to keep playing.” But here’s the real rub: the couple had been engaged since January 2025.
In a year filled with exhaustingly negative headlines, seeing Williams in not one, but in all her gorgeous looks over the course of her sun-filled Florida festivities, is the kind of sunshine happiness we need to lobby us into 2026. Congrats to the newlyweds!
Venus and Andrea’s relationship timeline
Williams and Preti were first linked when they were spotted on a boating trip in Nerano, Italy, in June 2024. Photos showed the cozy couple being affectionate. In November 2024, Preti commented on Williams’ post celebrating her 30 years in the tennis industry, writing “”Hunny Bonny 
.” Williams replied “Grazie,” thanking him in Italian.
In January 2025, Williams posted a selfie on her Instagram Stories of her and Preti vacationing in the Bahamas, where she wrote that he was “the best company.”

Williams first sparked rumors she was engaged in February 2025, when she was spotted wearing a large diamond ring on that finger at tennis training camp, presumably prepping for the DC Open. At the time, she refused to comment on her relationship status. The couple then attended the Dsquared2 Fall/Winter 2025 fashion show during Milan Fashion Week later that month, where they posed for photos. Williams had a ring on her left hand.
Rumors have it that the couple plans to marry this September in Italy, although they have not confirmed any nuptial news.
Who is Andrea Preti?
The Danish-born actor, model, writer and director was born in the city of Copenhagen. He initially worked as a model, appearing in several magazine shoots and modeling for brands such as John Richmond, Moncler, and Italian menswear designer Corneliani. He most recently appeared in a layout for Tommy Hilfiger.
Preti then transitioned to acting, first studying at the Susan Batson Academy in New York City. He has appeared in Italian television series, films and reality TV shows. He also wrote, directed and starred in the 2015 film One More Day.
Preti is eight years younger than Williams.
