Somewhere between TikTok scroll fatigue and the soft launch of everyone’s “reading era,” Coach decided to lean in. Hard.
For Spring 2026, the American heritage house introduces “Explore Your Story,” a campaign rooted in global listening sessions with Gen Z and stitched together with community partners from the United States to China. The headline accessory is still the brand’s beloved Tabby bag. The plot twist is what’s dangling from it: fully readable book charms. Yes, mini novels as drip.

This isn’t just aesthetic academia cosplay. Coach tapped into something real. While Gen Z lives in a short-form universe of loops and swipes, they’re also running back to long-form storytelling as refuge. Books are the new rebellion. Slow is the new flex. And carrying Jane Austen or Maya Angelou off your shoulder might be the chicest way to say, I contain multitudes.
The campaign stars a cross-cultural cast that feels like a syllabus for modern cool: Storm Reid, Elle Fanning, SOYEON, Lilas Ikuta, Paige Bueckers and Shan Yichun. Directed by Marcus Ibanez and photographed by Elaine Constantine, the films show each woman reading as her world subtly transforms around her. Story as portal. Tabby as witness.

But it’s Reid who captures the campaign’s heartbeat.
“Being part of the Coach Spring campaign was truly a dream,” she shares. “I’ve loved working with Coach for years, so being included and entrusted with the story they wanted to tell through fashion meant so much to me. The campaign celebrates the power and beauty of storytelling, which feels deeply aligned with who I am both personally and professionally. Shooting in London was unforgettable — and I’m officially obsessed with the book charms.”

Obsessed. Same.
There’s something tender about a luxury brand encouraging you to slow down. To read. To underline. To join a campus book club on the Coach Tabby Tour. Customization Bars are becoming Book Nooks. Dream Day 2026 is now “Write Your Next Chapter.” It’s less about selling a bag and more about selling the audacity to author yourself.
In a fragmented world, Coach is betting on plot. And frankly, that feels like the right kind of accessory.
