Druski Domination Set to Continue with Reported ‘SNL’ Hosting Gig

Druski is set to reach another career milestone: hosting Saturday Night Live.

According to Puck, a digital news outlet covering Hollywood and media, Druski is slated to host the November 7 episode. While NBC and the late-night sketch series have yet to confirm the news, a Druski appearance would make him the first digital content creator to host the series.

The reported booking caps a major year for Druski. As the youngest host in BET Awards history and its first digital content creator host, the 31-year-old brought a fresh dose of youthful energy to the ceremony this past June, tapping into some of his most memorable digital characters. He’s also joined Emma Stone and Chris Pine in Universal’s upcoming romantic comedy The Catch, marking his first major studio film role.

It’s all part of the media empire Druski has built through social media and streaming, including YouTube, where his audience grew to approximately 6.05 million subscribers—up from about 5.1 million in March. Across platforms, Druski now reaches an estimated 41 million followers, with no sign of it slowing down.

The secret to Druski’s success is his ability to poke fun at the issues already dominating people’s group chats. His latest sketch parodies the complicated lives of former child stars, referencing Orlando Brown, JoJo Siwa, and Raven-Symoné’s controversial claim that That’s So Raven wasn’t specifically a Black show. Beneath the costumes, characters and exaggerated humor, however, Druski often finds the seriousness within each situation, exposing their cultural contradictions and the audiences still processing their impact.

The move seems like a no-brainer for SNL… Over the past two years, the show’s newest cast members have come from strong social media presences, as it tries to reach a new audience that grew up on app platforms.

Just goes to show that humor born online may be the future of 8H.
