When it comes to love, Vivicia A. Fox has standards, and she’s not afraid to spell them out. Her dream man is — sorry, not sorry — not a creative artist.
“I’m looking for a partner, a good man. Love to be honest with you: I would never date anyone who’s in show business,” she declared to EBONY at the “It’s A Wonderful Lifetime” holiday celebration, held at New York City’s Overlook at Winter Village in Bryant Park.
Instead, Fox’s ideal candidate would have an M.B.A.
“I would love to find myself a nice businessman,” she revealed, pointing out that he’d be someone that she “can have fun with. More than anything. I’m looking for someone who makes me laugh, wants to travel and wants to enjoy life more than anything else.”
He would also come armed with a hefty dose of amour. “And he is romantic,” she added after a dramatic pause.
Lucky for us, Fox has been channeling all those emotions into a hefty slate of holiday films over the past decade as executive producer and star. This year, she’s serving up The Christmas Campaign. Fox plays a boss with an eye for talent and love connections. She assigns two of her top employees, Kayleigh and Darren, played by Chelsea Rose Brooks and Austen Jaye, to work together on an important holiday project, even though they have wildly different personalities. She then sits back to watch the sparks fly in business and in love.
“It’s a great cast, great script and good-looking people who can act and have fun,” Fox shared over what makes a memorable holiday film. “Also good music. I think it’s the whole package: beautiful entertainment filled with sparkling love.”
While Fox looked incredible at this seasonal fete in a Zhivago dress, YSL shoes and Candy Ice Jewelry, she spends most of the holiday season in a much more comfortable fit.
“It’s the one time a year that I can rest: I put on my onesie, grab a hot cocoa and put a little something in it, and enjoy Christmas films.”
And with a little Christmas wishing, her dream man by her side this year.
The Christmas Campaign premieres on Lifetime on November 29.
