Coco Jones is taking on a newly honored tradition for Super Bowl ceremonies. The soon-to-be Bel Air alum has been tapped to sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing” at the competition’s pre-game ceremonies at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clarita, California.
Jones, who performed at the EBONY Power 100 Gala in 2024, partnered with the NFL and Roc Nation on the official announcement. The actress and singer shared a message on social media, stating, “We’re bringing the energy to Super Bowl VX.” The Black National Anthem has been a part of the Super Bowl pre-game ceremonies since 2021, when Alicia Keys performed a pre-recorded version ahead of Super Bowl LV. The highly anticipated game, which will feature Bad Bunny in its halftime performance, will take place on February 8, 2026, and air live on NBC.
Cory Booker Weds Over Thanksgiving Weekend
Cory Booker is officially a married man. The congressman wed Alexis Lewis in not one, but two ceremonies over the Thanksgiving 2025 weekend, one in Washington D.C. and one in New Jersey, where he represents the state in the U.S. Senate.
“Overflowing with gratitude. We said, ‘I do’ in two places that shaped us—Cory’s beloved Newark and Alexis’s hometown of Washington, D.C.—first at the courthouse, then with our families,” Booker posted on Instagram with a series of photos from the two ceremonies. “Hearts full and so grateful.”
Booker met Lewis, vice president of investments at Brasa Capital Management, a real estate investment firm, in 2024. After a short and brilliant courtship, the congressman announced their engagement this past September.
As the happy union brings Booker’s longtime status as a bachelor to an end — he has been romantically linked to actress Rosario Dawson and poet “Instagram poet” Cleo Wade — many are speculating that the marriage will bolster his profile if he chooses to run for president in 2028. No sitting president has been unmarried since the 1800s.
