From a wild family road trip to the return of Detective Alex Cross and his biceps, this month’s dramas and comedies explore Black family dynamics across generations, the search for community, and friendships that aren’t defined by boundaries. The Muppet Show — February 4, Disney+: Our favorite collection of animated puppets returns to their original glory to offer up an unforgettable night of variety skits that are once again delivered with a theater background in this 30-minute special. Maya Rudolph stars.

Field Generals: History of the Black Quarterback — February 5, Peacock: A documentary chronicling the trailblazing and pioneering quarterbacks who transformed the game, from the AFL-NFL merger through the turn of the century. James “Shack” Harris, Chuck Ealey, Rodney Peete, Lamar Jackson and more are some of the NFL voices featured in this four-part series.

The ‘Burbs (Series Premiere) — February 8, Peacock: Murders are now in the cul-de-sac. Keke Palmer stars as Samira, a new neighborhood implant who believes her neighbors have murderous intentions, in this remake of the 1989 cult film.

Cross (Season 2) — February 11, Prime Video: Alex Cross returns to more problems, and hopefully for us, star and executive producer Aldis Hodge in more tight sweaters.
