Chase Infiniti has been an undeniable fashion slayer all award season, delivering a string of standout looks. But one recognizable theme keeps resurfacing: balletcore.

We first saw it at the 16th Governors Awards in November 2025, where Infiniti wore a custom white, strapless Louis Vuitton gown with a tiered tulle skirt that cascaded into a tapered, ankle-grazing silhouette.

She fully embraced her inner swan at the 57th NAACP Image Awards in a feathered, off-the-shoulder gown by Tamara Ralph. While the look leaned White Swan, the streak of red trailing behind her hinted she could pivot to Black Swan energy at any moment.
Her affinity for balletcore is no surprise. The One Battle After Another breakout has loved dancing since childhood. Infiniti performed in musicals throughout high school, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, she and her friends formed Duple Dance Crew, a K-pop cover group that kept their creativity alive during lockdown.

At the premiere of The Testaments, Infiniti continued the theme in a gold, tutu-inspired, corseted gown by Louis Vuitton. The Hulu drama, a spin-off of The Handmaid’s Tale, sees Infiniti starring as Agnes, a young woman raised within the rigid, patriarchal society of Gilead.
“She has grown up in this very privileged life—she’s almost like a princess there,” Infiniti told EBONY. “She’s very comfortable where she is and understands her place in the world and the life that’s been completely planned out for her.” That is, until an outsider enrolls in her Gilead finishing school—“and her world is kind of shaken up.”
The series has been described as Mean Girls in Gilead, but off-camera, the energy is far more supportive. Infiniti, who was mentored by Teyana Taylor and Regina Hall on One Battle After Another, paid that same kindness forward to her co-star Lucy Halliday, who plays Daisy.
“I called Lucy immediately and was like, ‘Let’s go grab dinner,’” Infiniti shared. “After that first meeting—and even once we started shooting—we were always together, especially the two of us. It never felt difficult to build that relationship.”
That bond carries weight in a show centered on young women finding their voices. “I think the series can really empower young women to speak up,” Infiniti said. “You see it with these girls—even when they’re facing incredibly difficult, almost impossible situations.”
Infiniti summed up what Gen Z women should tap into today. “Voice your opinion. Voice your thoughts.”
The Testaments premieres April 8 on Hulu and Disney+.
