Cardi B has given us the first look at the newborn son she and her partner, Stefon Diggs, welcomed earlier this month. And while the baby is thoroughly adorable wrapped in a custom swaddling blanket emblazoned with his father’s NFL team, the New England Patriots, and his surname, it’s the large diamond ring on Cardi’s engagement finger that’s set the internet on fire.
In one revealing shot of the baby — nicknamed Baby Brim and presumably taken just hours after his birth — Cardi’s left hand is clearly visible, with a hospital wristband and a simple diamond inlay band on her ring finger. The only note added on the photo by Cardi is “11/4,” the date of the new bundle of joy’s birth. Diggs adds his own message on the post, writing: “Proud of you boo butt !!!! Love you 
”
He’s not the only one to leave heartfelt notes for the rapper, who also gave birth to her second album, Am I the Drama? earlier this fall. The Real Housewives of Potomac star Wendy Osefo, the mother of three who has been fighting a personal legal battle, commented, “Beautiful! Congrats Mama,” while actress La La Anthony dropped a row of hearts.
The implied pending nuptials would be the second time for Cardi. She wed fellow musician Offset in September 2017. The couple filed for divorce in July 2024. It would be Diggs’ first time down the aisle.
On November 13, Cardi first announced that Baby Brim had made his debut. The “Hello” singer posted a welcome-to-the-world message on Instagram: “I brought new music and a new album to the world! A new baby into my world,” she wrote alongside a video of herself strutting in a sassy black outfit.
The singer had confirmed that she was pregnant with her fourth child on September 17 on CBS Mornings, just two days before the release of her long-awaited second album, Am I the Drama?, which dropped on September 19.
“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs,” the “WAP” singer told Gayle King in a pre-taped interview.
This is her first child with the New England Patriots wide receiver. She already has three children with her former husband: Kulture Kiari Cephus, born in 2018; Wave Set Cephus, born in 2021 and Blossom, born in September 2024.
