Riley Burruss Attends Filmed Party With Fellow Reality TV Heirs Amid ‘Next Gen ATL’ Casting Reports

A fete in Atlanta this past weekend may be our biggest clue to the upcoming cast of Next Gen ATL, a new series Bravo greenlit on October 23, right before Bravo Fan Fest in Charleston, South Carolina.

Riley Burruss, Reginae Carter and Noelle Robinson were spotted together at Sir Julien’s “Welcome Back to Atlanta” party, according to photos in the media personality and reality star’s Instagram Stories and video footage shared by No Chaser TV, originally attributed to media personality Eddie B. The gathering comes amid reports that Bravo is considering all three young women for the newly announced reality series.

According to the outlet, cameras appeared to be rolling as Burruss, Carter and Robinson celebrated alongside Jayye Michael, son of SWV singer Cheryl “Coko” Gamble and gospel producer and drummer Mike “Big Mike” Clemons; Ahmauri Marie, daughter of The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Angela Oakley and stepdaughter of NBA legend Charles Oakley; and model and content creator DeAnthony Hill.

Burruss was publicly spotted in Atlanta days before the party. On October 21, she joined Zonnique Pullins at The Culture’s Coldest Icon + Honors at Flourish Atlanta. The appearance put Burruss in the city two days after The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Next Gen ATL had already entered production, ahead of the series’ official announcement.

Burruss, the daughter of Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and Real Housewives of Atlanta vet Kandi Burruss, has spent the past two seasons on Next Gen NYC and could potentially bridge the franchise’s two cities. TMZ reports that the Next Gen NYC star is in talks to move from New York to Atlanta and help launch the spinoff.

The potential lineup comes with famous family connections. Carter is the daughter of rapper Lil Wayne and reality television personality and entrepreneur Toya Johnson. Robinson is the daughter of RHOA alum Cynthia Bailey and actor Leon Robinson.

Burruss and Carter have a documented friendship; Carter welcomed Burruss onto her Heir Time podcast in April for a candid conversation about reality television, family and establishing identities beyond their well-known parents. Carter and Johnson have also appeared on Kandi and Riley’s mother-daughter podcast, The Burruss Banter.

Burruss and Robinson also share history. Burruss previously revealed that she and Robinson attended the same school and occasionally crossed paths.

Bravo describes Next Gen Atlanta as a look at young rising stars navigating careers, friendships and family dynamics in a city “shaped by hip-hop, sports and entertainment.” Much like The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which gave a bird’s-eye view of the lives of glamorous, ambitious, entrepreneurial Black women and their families, Next Gen Atlanta could extend that legacy by showing what life looks like for the now-grown sons and daughters of Atlanta’s reality royalty: one of Married to Medicine star Dr. Simone Whitmore’s sons is said to be under consideration as well.

While Bravo hasn’t announced any casting details, these heirs to Black entertainment and reality-TV royalty appear ready to step seamlessly into the spotlight their parents helped build.
