Emmy-nominated actress Storm Reid is on the rise, and we’re here for it. The Euphoria star is about to serve up all the chills in the horror film The Nun II, out September 8. Reid plays Deborah, a nun who has to face her fears and fight off evil spirits.
Reid, 20, has been acting since her parents, who serve as her managers, helped her launch her career at 12. Her breakout role was Emily in the 2013 Oscar-winning film 12 Years a Slave. She would go on to appear in the films The Invisible Man and A Wrinkle in Time.

She loves scary movies.
In an interview about her role, shot before the onset of the actors’ strike, Reid admitted, “I love The Conjuring Universe and The Nun, the themes of good versus evil and the fact that you’re on the edge of your seat.”
She’s an Emmy nominee!
Reid has been nominated for “Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series” for her role as Riley, Ellie’s girlfriend, on The Last of Us. “I have been crying all morning…I’m so overwhelmed with gratitude,” she shared on her Instagram account to her 3 million followers.
She sees Zendaya as a real-life big sister.
On Europhia, Reid plays Gia, the younger sister who looks up to Rue (Zendaya) despite Rue’s drug addiction. That admiration extends off-screen as well. Reid met Zendaya in the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream parlor in Burbank, California, as a kid and snapped a photo with her. Years later, she found herself working alongside the actress. “She’s my big sis,” Reid declared on The Kelly Clarkson Show. “I just admire and love her.”
She’s launched a signature shoe.
A New Balance brand ambassador since 2021, Reid spent two years working with New Balance to launch a custom-designed signature silhouette. Her Storm Reid’s x New Balance CT 305 is dropped on August 4.
She’s got a new gig.
Reid is stepping out as an EP. She’s on the executive producing team of the upcoming doc, Jazzy Jumpers, which chronicles the famed Brooklyn Double Dutch team of the same name.
