Unlocking Insights: Morgan Brown is Taking Influence Beyond the Camera with the Launch of ‘June Skin’

For almost a decade, Morgan Brown was known in the industry as a beauty influencer who would occasionally bring her comedic personality into her content. After growing her YouTube following to over 500,000 subscribers, she maintained an interest in business studies and entrepreneurship while balancing matriculation through undergrad and keeping momentum on her platform. What started as sharing her experiences online with different products morphed into something deeper after experiencing the loss of her father in 2017 due to a sudden heart attack.  

Throughout this difficult time, Brown leaned on familiar things in her life, such as her skincare routine, to stay grounded. This repetitive practice helped her not only mark her day but also begin to wonder more about what wellness truly meant and about the gaps in some of the products she was using.

“Through that [grieving] process, my definition of beauty started to shift. It became less about appearance and more about well-being. It felt closer to a health practice. Almost a survival routine during a very difficult time. That realization opened the door to wellness for me,” Brown told EBONY. Brown’s curiosity about wellness led her to discover the industry’s inaccessibility to information, terminology, and resources. She believes that someone’s approach to skincare can impact their overall health routine if things do not feel approachable or rooted in care. Without this, people are left to operate their journeys alone, finding products that work for them or effective methods for success in their care routines.

“Where I believe June is different is in our intention. For us, skincare products are not the end goal. They are the vehicle. The real value we want to create is the improvement in women’s lives when they begin caring for themselves more intentionally.

My own journey showed me how something as simple as a daily skincare routine can become a grounding practice. It can reconnect you to your body, your health, and your well-being,” Brown expressed when speaking more about what she believes her brand brings to the beauty industry. 

Since its launch earlier this year, the world has been introduced to The Essential Cream that caters to skin stressors and moisture loss. Designed with sensitive skin in mind, the product helps to hydrate skin on the skin’s barrier in a deeper way, leaving users with a radiant finish. “The Essential Cream is absolutely the first of many products. We started with a face cream because hydration and barrier support are really the foundation of healthy skin. Before you even think about more advanced actives, your skin needs to be supported at its most basic level,” Brown said.
