The Wrap-Up: Yvonne Orji’s Pixie Power Style; Mowry Twins Ready for the Holidays, ‘Nawi’ Celebrated and More

Yvonne Orji was tapping platinum pixie vibes for this year’s EBONY Power 100 Gala, held at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. It’s a look that would inspire any rom-com writer to put pen to paper, and as The Chosen One star recently said in a social media post, she just needs “a script and a leading man. Who [y’all] want to see me do a romcom with?” Just about any one of the handsome men who attended the gala would do.

When you get an invite to holiday shop with Tamera Mowry-Housley and Tia Mowry, you come shopping cart ready. The twins hosted a HomeGoods “Deck the Everything Day Event” at Tavern on the Green in New York City, where they took us through their favorite “Holiday Carol” designs styles for the season: Winter Whimsy for Tia and Evergreen Icon for Tamera — and schooled us on a few more, including Pining for Plaid and Pretty in Pinkmas. The best part? The sisters stressed it’s fine to mix together styles: the more, the merrier!

Celebration was on hand at the DiVinci Film Festival, where NAWI was the opening night selection for the LA-based event. Telling the story of a 13-year-old Kenyan girl who runs away from home to escape an arranged marriage to a much older man, the powerful film brings light to and raises awareness about forced child marriage. NAWI took home the LEO Award for Best International Feature; Amb. Consul General Ezra Chiluba accepted the award on behalf of the film. NAWI will make its US debut on March 6, 2026, with the support of key organizations such as Girls Not Brides and the Melinda Gates Pivotal Ventures.
