Reasonable Doubt is back in full force, with an impressive roster of guests for its upcoming fourth season. That includes La La Anthony, Durrell “Tank” Babbs, and Meagan Good. With a months-long production run, Good has made Atlanta, where the show is filmed, her current residency. And she’s not alone.
“In the past five or six years, I just started seeing and experiencing a completely different side of Atlanta, one that I’ve very much fallen in love with. And Jonathan is now experiencing that,” she said of hubby Jonathan Majors as we sat on the set of Reasonable Doubt‘s fictitious courtroom.
Getting Majors to Atlanta was an experience. “Because we’re big cross-country drivers and we have four dogs … Jonathan drove cross-country from L.A. to Atlanta with our pups for our anniversary,” she shared. The couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary on March 19.
After dropping off the dogs, Majors headed north to work on an untitled action film, one of his latest projects. “From Atlanta, he drove to South Carolina, shot his movie, wrapped up there and got back here,” Good explained.
Now the couple is enjoying all that the ATL has to offer. “We walk around the Beltline, around the ponds, around Little Five Points to walk the dogs,” she shared. “We lay out a blanket to talk and hang and run lines.”
Good has been getting prepped for her role as Reasonable Doubt’s new district attorney, Regina Harris. “She’s been dealt a lot of different things that are going on in her own world as she’s in this world, walking in her authentic Blackness and actually kind of being a fan of Jax’s and a lot of interesting things go on there,” Good revealed. “It’s been a really fun character for me to play. I think the only other thing I would have been besides an actress is a lawyer.”
Reasonable Doubt will wrap the season in a few weeks. But that doesn’t mean that Good and Majors will pack up and head out of Atlanta too quickly. “There’s been some real consideration on being bicoastal because we really like it here,” she mused. “The people are incredible, and there’s industry here, and most importantly, the quality of life has been really wonderful.”
