TV Stars On Their Best NYE Ever — and Their 2026 Glow‑Up Plans

We’re only a few days away from ringing in 2026, which means kicking off a whole new lineup of main character goals. So, what’s on the docket for some of your favorite celebs? We talked with these stars for the drop on their New Year’s glow-up plans and a rundown of their on-screen character wants for the upcoming season.

Jason George, Grey’s Anatomy

“I usually avoid New Year’s resolutions… BUT this year I’m making an exception,” teased Jason George. “My New Year’s resolution is… GET… IT… DONE.” He admitted that other priorities have kept him busy. “I have too many projects that have been sitting idle while I focus on family and Grey’s. But I’m about to be an empty-nester — time to get busy.” That may include a return to Tulum, Mexico, the spot he visited to ring in 2018: “sipping champagne and tequila, swimming underground in cenotes and checking out pyramids,” he gleefully reminisced. We can relate.

As for Dr. Ben Warren, the hot doc he plays on Grey’s Anatomy, George’s advice is simple and succinct. “Stop trying to look good for other people. Be good and be of service.”

Grey’s Anatomy returns to ABC on January 8, 2026.

Arianna Davis, Stumble

Remembering her best New Year’s Eve celebration takes Arianna Davis back to nature. “I went to my great uncle’s house in the mountains of West Virginia with my family,” she shared. “It was so cozy and peaceful! Something about transitioning to a new year with your family around you does something for your soul — it’s a core memory for sure!” The Stumble star will put her creative talents front and center in 2026. She plans to “take time to celebrate myself more and to find more moments to put myself, and my art, out there for the world to see!

As for what Madonna, her cheerleading alter ego, needs to do in 2026, “She needs to level up,” Davis exclaimed. “She should up her game and become a base/stunter! She’s got to be the one making people fly high on the team. Then she’ll be a true ‘stumbler.’”

Stumble returns to NBC on January 16, 2026.

Skye P. Marshall, Matlock

There’s no better way to ring in the New Year than to harness the power of no. That’s Skye P. Marshall’s plan. “I’m going to stop saying ‘yes’ to things I don’t actually want to do and stop apologizing when I don’t.” Saying yes to her most cherished New Year’s Eve celebration was easy. “I traveled to Tulum, Mexico, on a solo adventure in 2020 and met some of the most incredible people, from all over the world,” she revealed. “I had a deeply spiritual ceremony and lavish dinner on the sand surrounded by strangers wearing all white, followed by dancing on the beach until sunrise at Papaya Playa Hotel.”

As for her Matlock character, this is one affirmative we can agree upon. “Olympia Lawrence needs to spend more time with her mom, Celeste.”

Matlock returns to CBS on February 26, 2026.

Sonequa Martin-Green, Boston Blue

Don’t call it a resolution! “I actually like to call it a New Year’s declaration,” Martin-Green exclaimed. “And for 2026, I’m declaring that me and my family will reach new heights and new depths with the Lord!” No surprise that her best New Year’s Eve memory is all about family. It was “when me and my husband Kenric Green had both of our parents, two of our siblings and some other family out in L.A. with us,” she reminisced fondly. “I think it was going into 2018. I cherished it then, and I cherish it even more now.”

Here’s Martin-Green’s advice for Detective Lena Silver, whom she plays in the series: “To truly celebrate each day because it’s better than the last!”
