Randi Rossario Is Expecting Again: See Maternity Shoot Pics and New Series

Randi Rossario is giving birth … again. Not only does her new show, Judge Randi, premiere on Tubi today, September 4, but the Detroit-based author, entrepreneur and social media personality is also expecting another baby.

“We’re about just over halfway there,” she exclaimed to EBONY about her impending bundle of joy. This newest member will join the Maples family with three older siblings in tow: two brothers, ages 13 and 6, and a sister, 13.

“I’ve got a senior in high school, getting ready to graduate—one foot out the door. And I’m like, ’Oh, let’s start over,’ Maples joked. “It’s just interesting because there are such big age gaps between each one, but they’re all really excited.”

This is the second child she and her husband are welcoming together, which is giving her a chance to reflect on her first baby, Chandler, who was born in 2020. “It was during COVID, and we were all in the house, so everyone was very hands-on with him. I think that’s why he’s a little bit more mature. He’s not the kid that wants to go get his hands full of mud and stuff like that,” she shared. “He’s going to want to sit down and have real conversations with you … sometimes, he looks at other kids like, ‘Oh, you’re doing too much,’ when they’re too loud and stuff.”

She’s planning on taking a much more laid-back approach with this child. “It’s more so about me,  releasing anxiety and not living in the anxious moments: what if he doesn’t poop right now? What if he doesn’t roll over when he’s supposed to? I’m like, girl, them kids going to do what they supposed to do when they supposed to do it, okay? Relax.”

To celebrate the new things in her life, Maples did a maternity shoot. “Everything was so dope. It was so much fun. My stylist did what he was supposed to do. The girl who made the gown did what she was supposed to do. The hotel that we shot at was a lot of fun and just very professional. It was—it was really cool. I didn’t get to do a maternity shoot with my first baby, so this was really special to me,” she exclaimed.

“With this shoot, I think it was to capture the growth not only obviously of our family, but of my brand completely. This pregnancy was a surprise, but it’s something that I’m enjoying and understanding why God gave me this blessing: having to slow down and sit down for a second is a nice restart.”

A New Form of Justice

Roassrio’s new show, Judge Randi, is “hilarious, but it’s also full of edutainment. I like to give people candy, but I hide the medicine in the candy,” she explained.

“One of my episodes is about a community leader who took advantage of a Black-owned business. The highlight of that conversation was that it’s important for us to support our Black-owned businesses and respect them like we would respect anybody else. You wouldn’t go to a Walmart and walk out with $300 worth of meat and say, ‘Oh, I’ll pay you next week.’  You have to have that same respect that you would have for a corporation or for a white-owned business, for a Black-owned business. It’s little nuggets like that throughout all of the episodes.”

She also has an impending app launch. “It’s a literacy app for kids two to nine years old, and the point of it is to close the technology and literacy gap that children — specifically the African American children — are having, especially due to not being able to be active in school during COVID,” Rossario shared. “I’m really, really excited about it, and it’s coming in November.”
