Liberation, directed by Whitney White, premiered on Broadway at the James Earl Jones Theatre in New York City this week. The magnificent new play dives into a women’s consciousness-raising group in the seventies and how they strip down, literally, to examine themselves and their relationships. EBONY spotted White, a Power 100 Artist in Residence awardee, sitting with a very special guest at the after-party: her mom!

Lady London was at The Park at 14th enjoying the HBCU season and D’USSÉ cocktails. She was just a few miles away from Howard University, the rapper’s HBCU alma mater. Yes, it’s good to come home again.
