Pastor Michael Todd, who has created some interesting viral moments in his past, is taking on a new visual. His book, Relationship Goals: How to Win at Dating, Marriage, and Sex, has been turned into a film for Prime Video.
Relationship Goals is the latest to come from the production house of fellow pastor DeVon Franklin. The film follows Leah Caldwell, a brilliant TV producer who’s about to make history as the first woman to run the top morning show in New York. Just when everything in her life seems to be lining up, her ex, Jarrett Roy, shows up, ready to compete for the same position.
When he confesses that he’s a changed man, shaped by the teachings and exercises in Todd’s book, Leah’s friends dive into the pages. But she’s not on the same page as she’s determined to break through that glass ceiling, despite the obvious chemistry between her and her ex.
Kelly Rowland stars as Leah opposite Clifford “Method Man” Smith. The Destiny’s Child alum is also on the film’s executive production team alongside Bart Lipton and Todd. “It’s only crazy when it happens,” Todd had exclaimed on Instagram when the news of the film’s production first dropped this past February.
First published in 2020, Relationship Goals: How to Win at Dating, Marriage, and Sex is a faith-based life manual on building healthy, lasting relationships, rooted in self-awareness, purpose and God’s design for love and marriage. Todd drew from biblical principles and personal experience to help readers set their intentions for the relationship they seek. This is Franklin’s second faith-based love story to stream this year; he co-produced Ruth & Boaz for Netflix, which first streamed in August.
Rowland has been expanding her onscreen world in front and behind the camera. She’s behind the Merry Liddle Christmas holiday movie franchise. Rowland was also on the production team for the 2024 hit Tyler Perry’s Mea Culpa, in which she starred in the leading role.
Relationship Goals will stream globally on Prime Video starting February 4, 2026.
